What are pharmacists and what do they do?

information, and counsel. They specialise with the chemistry and action of drugs and
their preparation and production for use in medicine.
How do you become a Pharmacist?
In the US, you typically spend two years studying at college, before completing four
academic years of professional pharmacy study. You are then awarded the Doctor of
Pharmacy degree (PharmD), and then you must get a license to practice, which entails
two exams.
Where do Pharmacists work?
Pharmacists tend to work in community settings, hospitals, or in industrial settings. It
is great as a STEM subject for that reason; you could work locally, in a lab, or in the
medical world too!

The average yearly salary for a pharmacist in the U.S is approximately $128,710. There is to
be an expected 3% decline in employment of pharmacists in the next eight years.
